FACT: The State of Texas requires that all Texas Defensive Driving (Driver Safety Courses) cost at least $25. This is the lowest amount any licensed provider may charge for the course at anytime. This is the price of our defensive driving / driver safety program.

Most Texas drivers take this program for Texas ticket dismissal. More details are below:
Texas Ticket Dismissal:
You may be eligible to take a Driving Safety Course (Driver Safety Course) on any one of the moving violations shown on the ticket you were issued. You may not take more than one Texas Driver Safety Course per year anywhere in the State of Texas to get a ticket dismissed.
If you were cited for any of the following, you are not eligible to take a Texas Driver Safety Course for that violation.
1. Speeding 25 mph or more above the posted speed limit
2. No insurance or failure to maintain financial responsibility
3. Leaving the scene of a collision
4. Passing a School Bus, or
5. Cited while driving in a Construction Zone when workers were present.
6. Cited while operating a bicycle
Note: If you had a commercial driver's license at the time of the violation, you are not eligible to take Driving Safety even if you were driving a non-commercial vehicle.
Please note that you can only take Driving Safety for ticket dismissal once per year. Additionally you MUST request permission to take this course for purposes of ticket dismissal by the appearance date shown on your ticket. Your driving record must reflect that you have not completed a Driver Safety Course within the last 12 months preceding the date of this offense.
If you are eligible, you will have 90 days from your request date to complete this Texas Drivers Safety Course
Note: $25 course price includes course participation and your certificate of completion via regular USPS mail. Any additional options selected during registration or during the program cost extra and are made at your own discretion and are completely optional. |
